The spooler just uses the Server Service for sharing the printers." Check and make sure there are no dependent services that have been changed from default settings. "The Server service is not starting in a timely fashion. I know you said "computer browser" is outdated, but I read one thread on event 315 and a user commented ( I do not know enough about the services to know if he knows what he is talking about) Even thought the spooler is "started" could it not be starting fast enough or something? Does the spooler service rely on any other services?
Event 315 seems to be about the only error I see now and it happened yesterday but as I said it didn't cause any errors on end users machines. I saw like two of the 315 error since, but I do not believe it hindered anyone from printing because I always hear about it when it does. I changed the device hardware to auto-update device drivers, my time was like 4 hours off on the server (not sure if that matters) so I will see what happens. I will keep them up on the print server for now and see what happens. Domain users have a "printers" shortcut that, when opened shows all printers. None of the printers are deployed via GPO. That couldn't cause issues could it? Feel free to smack me if that was a ridiculous question lolĪre any of those IP printers? If so, restart one of the printers, go to a computer and see if you can ping the printer from there, if so, install the printer directly in the computer using the TCP/IP route (creating a TCP port etc.), see if that works. I dount this has anythign to do with it but these are 10/100 devices and on our clients are limied to 5mbps each. Just the "sharing" errors are what is bugging me because they are all shared and listed in the directory. I even compared my print server to another on our domain but on another network, same setup and they have no issues at all. I mean every service that is supposed to be running is, I ping our server, dns, gateway, etc all without issue.

I did turn on up date drivers automatically. And when I run cable tests on the switch, nothing quaetionable returns and there are no event logs pertaining to certain port, or any ports for that matter.
